Easy Microwave Meals For Every Time Of The Day

When you’re cooking for one or simply short on time, microwave meals can be a real life-saver. Here we’ve put together some easy microwave meal recipes for you to try, from breakfast to dessert.

Breakfast - Mixed Vegetable Omelette

In a microwave safe bowl, mix together an egg, chopped onion, tomato, mushrooms, spinach, coriander, grated cheese, pepper and salt to taste. Microwave for a couple of minutes. Check the consistency of your eggs after about a minute, and give them a stir before putting them back in the microwave till completely cooked. Voila, your easy omelette is ready!

 

Snack - Healthy Banana Muffin

Eat Breakfast

This delicious, healthy microwave meal is great for breakfast or a tea time snack. Mash one banana in a microwavable cup, add 2 tbsp ragi flour, ¼ tsp cinnamon powder, ½ tsp baking powder, 2 tsp milk, honey and salt to taste. Mix the ingredients together and microwave for a few minutes. Check your banana muffin intermittently to make sure it’s not overdone. Top with banana slices, dust with cinnamon powder and dig in.

 

Lunch - Mixed Vegetable Sabzi

Chop cauliflower, tomato, capsicum and onion. In a microwave safe bowl, mix these together with oil, butter, ginger-garlic paste, Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder, red chilli powder, dhania powder, jeera powder and salt to taste. Microwave this for about 15 minutes and your mixed vegetable sabzi is ready!

 

Tea-time snack - Baked sweet potato chips

We all love potato chips. How about having it guilt free by baking them instead of frying! Cut sweet potato in thin slices and brush them with some oil. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on it and microwave it for 5 minutes until they are crispy. A healthy treat for teatime is ready!

 

Dinner - Paneer Makhani

Radish

Puree 3 large tomatoes and 1 large onion. In a microwave safe bowl, mix these together with 2 tbsp ghee, 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, haldi powder, garam masala, dhania powder, jeera powder and salt to taste. Stir in a bit of water and microwave for about 20 minutes. Stir intermittently, check the consistency and adjust the end time if needed. Once cooked, add a bit of butter, Tata Sampann Kasuri Methi, paneer pieces, chopped veggies and water, if required. Microwave for another 5 minutes and dig into this healthy microwave meal. Microwaving can help reduce the amount of butter used in this dish while keeping the taste intact.
